At a meeting early in December 2005, the City of Winnipeg confirmed the 2006 water and sewer rates. The sewer rates will increase by 14% while the water rate will remain unchanged in 2006. Moreover you can expect sewer rates to increase annually for the next few years. (see below websites for a Detailed Report).

At this meeting I did address the issue of short payment window since the institution of late payment penalties. I can tell you that the City has only committed to looking at the issue, so really nothing has changed in the last several months.
Also be advised that agency payments must in the hands of the Utility on the due date otherwise your payment will be considered to have been paid late, resulting in a charge.
